What steps has Revival taken to reduce environmental impact?Updated 10 days ago
We work with industry-leading weavers who operate under high ethical and ecological standards. Our partners use advanced water management systems that monitor and control their water usage. This includes regular audits and assessments to identify areas where water can be conserved. Their facilities recycle 100% of the water used, and collect and store rainwater for non-potable uses such as irrigation, landscaping, and toilet flushing. The majority of the facilities are powered by solar energy which reduces the carbon footprint of their day-to-day operations.
In addition to working with sustainable partners, we source thousands of vintage and gently used rugs as alternative sustainable options. Purchasing a vintage rug is a great way to reduce waste by reclaiming a rug that is still in perfectly usable condition.
We frequently use recycled materials for our Studio Revival rugs, which can be either natural or synthetic. When we develop products we are mindful of the material’s sustainability, and we make a point of using materials that aren’t harmful to people or to the planet, whether natural or synthetic.
We also minimize the environmental impact of our packaging by reducing plastic use and shipping the majority of our rugs in recyclable boxes.
