Is there any off-gassing of VOCs with Revival’s rugs or rug pads?Updated 10 days ago

Generally, all handmade rugs without a backing or any special dye treatment do not contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Rugs made from natural fibers (e.g., wool, jute, cotton) tend to have lower VOC emissions, especially if the fibers are untreated. Our recycled PET rugs also have low VOCs as the recycling and treatment of the yarn often removes some VOCs from the material.

Additionally, the recycled PET yarn we use is OEKO-TEX® certified, this third-party certification ensures that fibers are free from toxic chemicals and dyes. Our rug pads are made from 100% felt and natural rubber which have lower VOC emissions compared to rug pads made from synthetic rubber.
